There are a lot of resume services that will provide a resume critique for free. They may tell you if your resume works, or doesn’t, but that is where they stop. Their critique services are primarily use to encourage potential clients to purchase additional services – to get you to spend more money.

My critiques are so detailed that you should be able to successfully rewrite your resume on your own. I provide real examples using your information as a guide. I even offer to review your revised version at no additional charge, with additional help provided in the final formatting and layout.

What You Receive
I will review your resume document with particular attention to content, target focus (taking your specific reader into account – the types of positions and companies you want to target), organization of material, visual quality, and strength of the written presentation. I will also review your document for syntax, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
I will review your document for its effectiveness in marketing you to your targeted positions. I always critique resumes from the reader’s point-of-view (hiring manager). Not only do I stay in regular contact with hiring directors in a wide range of industries – and understand what they want to see in the resumes of potential candidates – I also read a lot of resumes. I see poor, good and excellent resumes every day. I know which ones catch – and do not catch – my attention – and why.

If your resume needs work, you should be able to manage the rewrite on your own using the suggestions I provide (my critiques are very, very detailed). However, if you decide that you would like me to write and design your resume for you, I will be glad to apply the paid critique fee to your resume package fee, as a credit.
